 FENNVILLE LIONS HOST SPAGHETTI DINNER
By Colleen Rae

On February 20, the Fennville Lions hosted a Spaghetti dinner at the Fennville High School Cafeteria to benefit the Lakeshore Relay for Life, and a new fountain for Paradise Park in downtown Fennville.

About one hundred people bought tickets and showed up to be served spaghetti, salad, bread sticks and homemade dessert made by the Lion members. Several tables were filled with two and three generations of families.

Many in the town came to eat before going into the auditorium to watch the High School play.  It was a good opportunity for neighbors to get-together and discuss the inches of snow fallen and how many inches were yet to come.

The Lion members that participated in the preparation, serving and clean-up were:  Bill (the president) and Toni Alwin, Lou and Maureen Sytsma, Jim Lytle, Don Chapman, Dick Hutchins, Judy Kratzer, Reid Ruggles, Janet Stappenbeck, Tom Tucker, LaVerne Wise, Larry Cummins, and Colleen Rae Evans.  Sam Morehead and Ron Hesche helped cashier.

I keep six honest serving men, they taught me all I knew.
Their names are what and why and when. And how and where and who.
